Oklahoma State vs. OklahomaThe Bedlam Series November 28th 12:30 ET The 2009 version of the Bedlam Series doesn’t have as much riding on it as years past. This season has been a struggle for perennial power Oklahoma losing their best player to injury while Oklahoma State has played without their best player due to an off the field issue. In 2008, the Sooners had everything to lose in Stillwater as a loss would have taken them out of the National Championship game. The game was a shootout with Oklahoma winning 61-41 which sent the Sooners to the Big 12 Championship game. The 9-2 Cowboys have had a very good season with their only losses coming to ranked teams. If Oklahoma State can gain the victory a 10-2 finish could land them in a major bowl. No doubt Cowboy fans will look back at the season and think about what could have been. They have played the vast majority of the season without Dez Bryant and healthy Kendall Hunter.
Oklahoma ’s season has been a disaster. The 6-5 Sooners came into the season with National Championship aspirations being led by Heisman Trophy winner Sam Bradford. Oklahoma lost stud TE Jermaine Gresham prior to the start of the season. It only got worse. The Sooners opened the season with a shocking loss to BYU but lost more than just a game. Bradford was injured near the half and didn’t return. He played only sparingly against Texas reinjuring the shoulder early which ended his season. Prediction: A win can still impact the level of bowl game for both teams. Make no mistake; regardless of their record the intensity will be fierce between the two rivals. Landry Jones will have a solid game and the home crowd will propel the Sooners to the victory. Oklahoma 30 Oklahoma State 24
