#14 Oklahoma State vs. #3 TexasOctober 31st 8:00 ET Line: Texas – 8 ½
The Cowboys easily defeated Baylor 34-7 setting up the pivotal Big 12 South battle against #3 Texas. Oklahoma State can look at what could have been with Dez Bryant in the offense but instead will move on as Bryant has been ruled ineligible for the remainder of the season. Texas dominated lethargic Missouri 41-7. Colt McCoy looked like his old self completing an outstanding 26 of 31 attempts for 269 yards and 3 scores. Jordan Shipley hauled in 7 of McCoy’s tosses for 108 yards and two touchdowns.
Prediction: Texas not only has one of the best QBs in the nation they also have a premier defense. Texas will pressure Oklahoma State QB Zac Hunter throughout the game and force him to release the ball early. McCoy will make big plays to Shipley and with his feet. If the Cowboys had Bryant and RB Kendall Hunter this game would be a different story. Given the current personnel Oklahoma State simply doesn’t have enough horses. Texas 37 Oklahoma State 24
